Active rest days do not have to be much, they actually should be relaxed. Take a walk, play with the kids, jump on a trampoline, ride a bike. Yoga is a great active rest day routine. It is often my go to. Either yoga or hiking are my favorite. This day called for a wonderful hike. We did 7 miles.
Exploring comes natural to us. Adventuring the America we have had is great privilege. "Finding big foot" is always a pride to me. My lover is a very strong, and large, man. My Momma calls him big foot because he wears a size 14-15 shoe. And rightfully he is "big foot" ;)
*Note: yes I do believe Big Foot exists. No, this is not a humorous attempt to poke fun. In all actuality, Big Foot frightens me, which my family goes to great lengths to enjoy.

5 Minute Marinara Hack, From Store Bought to Homemade in Minutes, No One Will Ever Know The Difference
I love me some marinara! My family plows through it like water. Marinara, in our home, is used for everything from spaghetti sauce, pizza sauce, lasagna, meatballs, dip, even with eggs in the morning; the use is endless. Without harvesting your own tomatoes, making and canning marinara is not cost efficient.
Therefore, I give you my own 5 minute marinara hack. "Homemade" marinara hack using store bought canned sauce in 5 minutes. No one will ever know the difference! Props to the cook with out the labor of boiling, blanching, crushing, canning tomatoes. Your welcome!

Marinara "Hack" do it:
Bring the jar of Newman's Own to boil. Filling the jar with the 1/2cup heavy whipping cream or 1cup milk, close and shake to get all the marinara off the sides. Empty into the marinara while it warms to a boil along with parmesan cheese (add to taste. I use 2-3tbsp.)
Turn to a simmer. Add 1tsp organic coconut sugar, a few shakes of red pepper flakes (depending on how hot you like it), 1/2tsp onion powder or 1tsp onion flakes, 1/2tsp Flavorgod everything seasoning, 1tsp-1tbsp Flavorgod Garlic Lovers (depending on your garlic preference), 1tsp dried parsley, 1/2tsp dried basil. Sea salt to taste.

For some reason, this video was difficult for me to post. I suppose I do have a part of me that is not completely confident, no matter how hard it is to admit. Then I thought of you all. You deserve down to earth fit[ish]ness. Not polished and choice but real. I decided this is me, this is what I do. I want to share that with you.
Do you remember watching 3 Ninja's or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles while running around the house in your gi? I sure do! Wither it was trying to be Rocky or a Rafael, the dream was real, to be a ninja! For me, that dream came true. For many, it has not. So, for you who were not ninja's, I bring to you "the dream". Work up to what you can do. Starting anywhere is, starting somewhere. Adjust to your fitness level. Don't give up, you can do it :).
With that said, take courage. You can be successful in your fitness and training no matter where you are. Love yourself and look at yourself through your own eyes, not through others. Lastly, please be kind. Remember, it took a lot for me to post this.
My favorite Greek yogurt to date, Greek gods Greek Yogurt, 4g in 1/2cup. Blueberries are the best at their largest size. Walnuts are just the best! 5g of protein for 1/4cup plus omega-3. Raw hem seed with omega-3&6 complete with 5g protein for only 1.5tbsp. A total of 14g protein, yeah buddy!
Makes 6-7 medium delish pancakes.
Butter well your warm skillet.
Add the liquid ingredients into your food processor or blender (egg, vanilla, milk).
Add your dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, sugar, sea salt, and optional cinnamon).
Pulse in the food processor or blend in the blender for a few seconds. Just until mixed to a smooth consistency with no lumps. Will be somewhat thin but not watery.
Butter your warm skillet again.
Immediately add your pancake batter in a circular motion until the size desired.
Once the batter is bubbled up, carefully work your spatula under on all sides to loosen and then flip. Depending on the warmth of your skillet will depend on the time.
Add a dollop of warm fresh churned butter, or any butter you use, and warm maple syrup.
Eat it. Love it.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What a true statement! Fitness goes way beyond chiseled abs and the perfect lean hamstrings and perky butt. Way beyond! In fact, I will go as far to say that if the idea of fitness is to look perfect then failure is in the near future. Likewise, if the motivation goes towards strength and health, success is in the near future.

Whisk egg in a large bowl.
Add all ingredients.
Finally, add the meat.
Knead the mixture into the meat like you would for bread. Be mindful not to squish between your fingers.
Part into equal size balls.
Pat each ball into 1 inch thick patties the size of the palm of your hand. Bigger if you have small hands.
BBQ on the grill to desired doneness.
Melt cheese to bubbling on each burger and place buttered buns on the grill, 1 minute or so.
Eat it. Love it.

For crisp bacon:
Cook bacon you favorite way. Our family loves this one:
Cook 5 pieces of bacon in the oven on a broiler pan or lined baking sheet at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. (ovens vary) Turn over and cook an additional 10 minutes.
Once cooked to desires crispiness, fallow the directions below quickly.
For soggy bacon:
Before cooking, weave together like the basket.
Cook at 400 degrees for 10 minutes
Turn over with a fork for an additional 5 minutes.
Take out and drain on paper towel. While draining, fold the bacon taco to look like a taco shell shape while it drains and cools. This will help the taco retain it's shape.
Scoop in your scrambled eggs. Add cheese if desired.
Eat it. Love it.
*Word of caution, eating under cooked meat is a serious health hazard. Adjust the temperature and time above to suite for your oven.
I can feel it in my body. The sluggish icky not right feeling everywhere. From my muscles to my brain and down to my intestines. BLAH! With the recent uncovering that I may be in the battle against melanoma again, I am on the search for a detox. A detox well over due. Here are my findings with my Detox Tea.
When I first awake in the morning I will immediately drink 16oz of water that I keep at my bed side. This totally helps my body hydrate first thing in the mornings.
Matcha Ceremonial Green Tea. This green tea is among one of the most concentrated. It can be very pricey but only takes a small amount. About .5 tsp in 4oz of hot fresh boiled water. The health benefits of green tea are astounding. Aside from the fat fighting benefits that are commonly known in todays market, this is not my agenda. You can be thin or fit all you want but if the inside of your body isn't healthy than there really is no point. Green tea is infused with catechins. Catechin is a strong antioxidant. Along with other huge benefits, this is my number one reason at this season in my life for using green tea.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple Cider Vinegar or ACV, not only contains Catechin but it also has very useful for your body. It can alkalize your body or level out the acidity if the alkalization is too high. Having a perfectly balanced alkalize to acid ratio is uber important for your health. Not that's a cool super food! I love this article that explains ACV in better detail, you can find it here. Along with ACV, my next ingredient also promotes the body to alkalize.
Lets just get this out right now, lemons are fantastic! If you use essential oils at all, you already know this. We just learned about this in history actually. The pilgrims on the Mayflower survived the trip without scurvy from the lemon juice they brought on board. Along with alkalizing properties, lemons are super high in vitamin C, an antioxidant which fights the formation of free radicals that cause cancer. Drinking warm lemon water first thing in the morning flushes the kidneys and liver and gives them a good start for your day. Plus lemons are super duper yummy! Lemons are my must have ingredient for my green tea detox drink.
Cranberry Concentrate (no sugar just pure organic cranberry) is a little gem. It is very tart but makes you feel so good. After a few times drinking it, it gets better, I promise. Cranberry contains good amounts of salicylic acid. Salicylic acid reduces swelling and increases blood flow. Once thought as a treatment for UTI, it goes way beyond that. the risk of
