My zucchini love the warmth of my greenhouse. They soak up the heat and humidity. I have planted them outside but the green house zucchini grow extra large and yummy. My greenhouse, 6 by 8 will hold 1 zucchini hill 6ft long about 4ft apart planted with 3 seeds each hole.
Lightly water the soil then loosen the soil a good 6inches down as you mound the soil into a hill. The zucchini, much like potatoes, likes loose and well moistened soil to grow. Make a loose hole about 1.5inches deep. Plant 2-3 soaked seeds per hole and then loosely cover with soil. Water well and keep moist. Walla! 1 week later, you may have the beginnings of the young and strong black zucchini.
