My family would very much like to wish you a super blessed Christmas. I know it is a big thing right now to say "Jesus is the reason for the season" but I would like to infer that YOU are the reason for the season!
"In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and God was the Word.
He existed in the beginning with God.
God created everything through him,
and nothing was created except through him.
The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone.
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it...The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.
He came into the very world he created, but the world didn’t recognize him. He came to his own people, and even they rejected him. But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.
So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son." John 1:1-14
It is on His birthday that we celebrate Him. But what could the Creator of all possibly be given as a gift? YOU! You are the only gift He desires, the gift He came to redeem unto Himself. Happy Birthday Jesus...my present done!
These are my scars
At 32, I face my newest scar. A few weeks ago I underwent biopsies on some precarious spots. I have a small tumor that has abnormal cells surrounding it. I am being referred to a Mohs Micrographic Surgeon. I suppose I should back up and let you in on what I am talking about.
"Oh, what peace we often forfeit,
By the age of 25 I had been suffering sever pain. Over 2 years time I was hospitalized for what we thought was a procedure to remove a ovarian cyst. A 45 minute minor surgery ended up being a 3.5 hour abdominal full hysterectomy. They said it was stage IIII Endometrioses, the second worst case they had ever seen. It called for a removal of all reproductive organs and reconstruction of parts of my intestines and scraping of my pelvic bone.
These scars I hold dear. My God's foreknowledge knew what my future held. He saw it good to give us our babies so young:) By 17 and 20 we had both our babies. Sure we may have given up college scholarships to give them life but they are and always will be our miracle babies! My God is Sovereign!
Undergoing multiple procedures and laparoscopic surgeries for unknown intestinal issues. They would find that I am allergic to all yeast, preservatives and gluten sensitive. Along with an inherent blood disorder at which my blood iron level is over 70%, I can not red meat or consume iron. Still, my God hold all things together. I hold dear my scars that prove My God is my anchor.
The first time they found cancer I was 27. An A-typical freckle was removed. Three months later it would return, this time with vengeance. I was now looking at stage II melanoma. They would cut into the same scar and remove a 4 inch by 3/4 inch section on top of my left trapezius.
By 30 I am told that I have herniated C4 through C7 vertebrae's. Now bulging and the start of degenerative arthritis I am in constant pain.
My heart now holds scars. This last April, my daddy was called home to be with our Jesus he loved so much. Daddy overcame his battle to liver failure by walking into the arms of our Savior. Daddy was 60 years old. My God saved him from the pain and suffering, He is so very good!
I tell you all this only in hopes of brining peace and joy to the broken hearted and the down trodden. Ultimately to brag on my God a little;) This is the story of my scars and the peace they bring me by the Sovereignty of my Savior. My scars I hold dear! Circumstances do not control joy. The One who crafted joy, He holds joy. Take delight in Him as He does in you. You are His special treasure!
*Preheat oven to 350 and
*lay almonds on a pizza stone or a cast iron skillet or a cookie sheet in a single layer. Fresh and/or organic almonds are my favorite but, you can use bagged if you can't get your hands on fresh or organic. Whole, sliced, slivered is really up to you. I prefer slivered cause I make a homemade quinoa cereal...I'll post on that later.
*Once oven is warm, put the almonds in the oven and set a timer for 8 min. Check after this as everyone's ovens are different. Mine takes 10 min.
*Spoon out raw honey, preferably from a farm around you...this helps with allergens double score! If you can't find a farm near you, buy the purest honey you can from your local market. Farm fresh honey has no comparison! The farm near us is kept by a 14 year old very ambitious young man. A huge mason jar is only $12, I buy a lot! I think I am his favorite customer. His Momma runs a dairy farm where I get raw goats and cow milk...yes! Tutorial on how to make raw fresh butter coming after Christmas I hope.
*Cover with as much honey as your taste buds like. Stir. And done! They do clump together as they don't have any nasty anticaking agents like the store bought. I fix this by stirring them ever so often as they cool.
I have to take out one very Beautiful and one very Handsome mooching vultures as I make these. Hands get threatened;) And one ginormous moocher, if he is home, him I have no chance against...sigh... Anyway, enjoy and let me know what you think!
Hello everyone! I wanted to say thank you for all of your kind words and support these last few weeks. I finally got my last stitches out this last Tuesday, the 15th. I am having to go to a specialist for one of the biopsy spots, they won't tell me much about it yet but the other was no concern..woopwoop! What they thought was a cyst was a hemorrhage that they drained and as long as it stays away, I am out of the woods on that one.
It was killing me not being able to train. My intestines have not been happy without proper stimulation from movement. If you are new, my intestines have had a lot of trauma and do not function properly. I have chosen to go no meds route and control this by diet and exercise. Continuing on...I had two days of training this week, better than nothing. I would have had three but my Buddy has had croup, bronchitis and treatments for pneumonia:( And, just like all Mommas, I am feeling very run down from the last few weeks', it all just hit me. I have to remind myself, actually my big sister reminds me;) that I am not super woman and have to rest. So, out of fear of big sissy's wrath, I chose to relax the rest of the week so I don't come down with anything before Christmas.
Here is what my two days looked like. They seem simple but I was so soar in my vistas laterals, gluteus medias and latissimus dorsi muscles. Namely my saddle bag and bra strap area if I am correct with my anatomy. As always, I am not a medical trained person, doctor or nurse, or a licensed trainer. I am just sharing what I do:) Please consult a licensed health care person before you begin any physical activity. Here ya go!
*Competition burpee is a burpee but when you go into the plank, you lower all the way with chest to the ground, do a super man and then back up in a perfect form. No hunch back or lowering the hips, tighten that core and butt to support yourself. You can come up on your knees till you get the hang of it.
*Side dip burpee is a burpee but when you go into the plank, you rotate to a side plank, dip your hips then back into a solid side plank working the oblique then up. Next one will be opposite side.
There ya have it, repeat the burpee cycles till you reach 100 for time. Only take brakes as you absolutely have too. My time was 13:04.
Don't be scared guys, this is three 10 minute workouts. I did the first one and I liked it a lot. I actually have her videos and did it off of there but posted this one so you could see it. It felt good! And, I beat my old record, I did 6 sets in 10 minutes even after my healing break. This girl right here is happy:)
No workout, I just rested my throat and lungs and foam rolled my soar muscles...and of course stretched! I started to cough this morning and am loosing my voice :( yikes!
Enjoy guys! I will see what next week brings with feeling better and Christmas. If I am not back before Christmas, Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday Jesus to everyone!
I have tried everything from different boiling times to baking soda to vinegar to pricking the egg with a needle just to get a good hard boiled egg. UGH! So frustrating. For real, one of my biggest pet peeves is to have the shell take off chunks of the egg or that membrane that wont come off. You can ask my sisters or my babies, I get so frustrated I want to cry. I hate wasting food, I typically do 18-24 at a time. You can imagine the frustration when only half the egg is left:( I wised up and only did a few this time just in case it didn't work. And guess what, it did...the time I only do a few...go figure.
Maybe I should title this hard boiled eggs for dummies. Apparently everyone else in my family can peel the egg just fine with it just in water but I can't :( But put a smile on and look at these little gems...
They are going in my belly! One of them cracked when I put it in the water so it is a little misshapen, oops, but they are perfect to me:)
So, here is what to do...
When the timer beeps, I drain the pot and place the eggs in a large bowl. Then I pour cool tap water over them. Wait 1 min while I wash the pot. Begin to peel and the shells fall right off! SCORE!!! I am so happy, I could do a happy dance. Maybe I did but my babies made me stop, just maybe;) I hope this helps anyone else who needs a fool proof was to hard boil an egg. Leave comments below with what you think. Or if you have any of your own tricks. God Bless!
The mountain shook, the sky became black and the veil between heaven and earth was rend, forever removed.
"Floods clap their hands, together mountains cry aloud before the LORD-YHWH"
The power of the blood of the One who holds all things together has rocked the foundations of His creation He so prizes with great sacrifice. All the super hero's of fantasy hold no comparison to ultimate super hero. What would posses Christ to even entertain such a thought of extreme anguish let alone the drive to lay aside His authority to do such a sacrifice? You! The very apple of His eye and His deepest desire and love. You, the crown of His glory. To be with you, the one He adores and fights for. You, His treasure. Nothing else carries greater worth to the God of all than you. The sacrifice He was ready with intention to accomplish, even if need be just for you. His cross, it changed everything!
I can feel it in my body. The sluggish icky not right feeling everywhere. From my muscles to my brain and down to my intestines. BLAH! With the recent uncovering that I may be in the battle against melanoma again, I am on the search for a detox. A detox well over due. Here are my stage 1 findings. Detox Tea.
First thing in the morning hot tea
When I first awake in the morning I will immediately drink 16oz of water that I keep at my bed side. This totally helps my body hydrate first thing in the mornings.
When I'm ready I set my tea pot on to boil and prepare my green tea according to package. I add in a tsp of cranberry concentrate, a cap full of apple cider vinegar, and a squeeze of a lemon. Then I drink it as fast as I can cause it is very tart. About 30 min later, I eat.
Matcha Ceremonial Green Tea. This green tea is among one of the most concentrated. It can be very pricey but only takes a small amount. About .5 tsp in 4oz of hot fresh boiled water. The health benefits of green tea are astounding. Aside from the fat fighting benefits that are commonly known in todays market, this is not my agenda. You can be thin or fit all you want but if the inside of your body isn't healthy than there really is no point. Green tea is infused with catechins. Catechin is a strong antioxidant. Along with other huge benefits, this is my number one reason at this season in my life for using green tea.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple Cider Vinegar or ACV, not only contains Catechin but it also has very useful for your body. It can alkalize your body or level out the acidity if the alkalization is too high. Having a perfectly balanced alkalize to acid ratio is uber important for your health. Not that's a cool super food! I love this article that explains ACV in better detail, you can find it here. Along with ACV, my next ingredient also promotes the body to alkalize.
Lets just get this out right now, lemons are fantastic! If you use essential oils at all, you already know this. We just learned about this in history actually. The pilgrims on the Mayflower survived the trip without scurvy from the lemon juice they brought on board. Along with alkalizing properties, lemons are super high in vitamin C, an antioxidant which fights the formation of free radicals that cause cancer. Drinking warm lemon water first thing in the morning flushes the kidneys and liver and gives them a good start for your day. Plus lemons are super duper yummy! Lemons are my must have ingredient for my green tea detox drink.
Cranberry Concentrate (no sugar just pure organic cranberry) is a little gem. It is very tart but makes you feel so good. After a few times drinking it, it gets better, I promise. Cranberry contains good amounts of salicylic acid. Salicylic acid reduces swelling and increases blood flow. Once thought as a treatment for UTI, it goes way beyond that. the risk of

So, I have been craving white chicken chili but didn't want the comfort food calories while I heal from the biopsies and I can't train. Here is what I came up with...I had some tender chicken breast meat left from prepping over the weekend and a few other things including coconut milk so I thought, lets put a spin on white chicken chili, clean eating style. And here ya go. It came out very hot! But limiting certain spices will fix that if your not a spicy food person. My lover always says, it cleans ya out;) We love spice! This recipe is so versatile that you can cater it to your own tastes. Make it a few times different ways to figure out what you like best. OR go all in and sweat it out;) HeeHeeHee...
Curry Coconut White Chicken Chili
2 chicken breast, precooked and shredded
2 cups chicken broth, homemade from the chicken breast is best but can use store bought. I always look for organic and yeast free

1 cup jasmine rice + water according to cook instructions (can omit if doing no carbs or don't like rice) or cook on the side and add as desired to each serving
.5 tsp sea salt
sea salt to taste after cooked but before serving or let everyone salt to their own tasting

The relationship between husband and wife is the one relationship that demands the most attention and is the one that is lived day in and day out. *1 The relationship that scripture gave us that reflects the relationship that we have with the LORD. *2 The first relationship we humans were given with one another. The relationship also that demands the most accumulated work. I know there are specific things in our homes that need prayer. Even specific situations in all relationships. We do not have the power to change situations but we do have the power to change our heart in a situation and to prayer over the heart of those involved. I would like to share with you one of the most powerful prayers, I believe, that I pray every morning...over my husband...before my feet even hit the floor. (All the _____ is where you insert his name.)
"I ask that You, LORD Jesus- Yehshua Ha Massiach- will be enthroned upon __________ heart. _________ will always love You LORD, our God, with all of his heart, with all of his soul, with all of his mind and with all of his strength and that he will love his neighbor as himself. Keep _________ heart soft and loving towards me and mine towards him, always finding exhilaration and satisfaction in one another. Help my heart to not be defensive but that I may love him the way You love him. May we be convinced that Your thoughts of us are thoughts of peace, not evil, to give us a future and a hope. That _______ heart be wise and his emotions discerning, that he will make Your heart glad. Let our minds and our marriage not be conformed to this world but being transformed and renewed by Your power so that our marriage may prove what the will of our God is; that which is good and acceptable and perfect." (if you have children) "Keep _______ heart knitted to (children's individual names) and teaching them with fervent desire for You."
Everything stems from a heart issue. Praying over the hearts of the ones we love is so pivotal. We can not be lined up with the LORD if our hearts are not His, totally and completely! Our LORD wants to be intimate with us. Make your prayer intimate with the power of scripture. Lets see what our Great God-YHWH delights to do for you and your husband. If you are single, start praying over his heart now, even if you don't know his name, the LORD does:) Please share what the LORD has done, I would love to hear your testimony!
*1 Marriage=Christ and the Church: Ephesians 5:22-32 (31-32), 1 Corinthians 11:3
*2 leave your mother and father and cling to your wife: Mark 10:7, Genesis 2:24, Ephesians 5:31
